Declan.
Declan-(Scratch) In spite of his boyish looks he’s actually 25years old. In 1999 Declan started jammin’ with his neighbour Colin in what would later become "Jaded" and finally "TheGurriers". In spite of this potentially dangerous decision, he has still managed to enjoy his few years in the band so far. Initially the main song writing force in the band, Declan’s sharp ear for a catchy tune lifted the band’s early live shows well above their more staid contemporaries. His favourite pastime is stamp collecting and his biggest dislike is bouncers who treat him like shit because he looks like a teenager still.
Gear-Declan’s favourite axe of choice is his Gibson SG. Finally, after years of poverty he has aquired a Gibson SG (a Guitar that stays in tune and takes the physical abuse that is metted out to it). He swears by Marshall amplification, though usually he can be heard swearing at it instead.
Influences- Jim Morrison, Bon Scott, Joe Strummer, Joey Ramone and that guy from Joy Division. (Anyone notice a pattern here).
Alan.
Alan- Alan, 23years old, met Declan at guitar lessons many years ago (Yes, they did go to lessons and No, they didn't get a refund!) and following the acrimonious split with his former band "Binge" told he could play the bass. After some dodgy months he could finally manage to tune and play the thing. In recent years he has fitted into the band like the proverbial glove from "Spinal Tap". Alan’s hobbies include giving out to Colin and thinking of what could have been.
Gear-After years of playing with dodgy gear Alan finally has assembled a rig that ensures that even if he doesn’t always look like a professional at least he sounds like one. His weapon of sonic destruction is a Maverick bass although he sometimes uses a Musicman in the studio. His new amp is an Ashdown EVO 300W head with a 4x10 cab and a 1x15cab. He also likes red straps, blue leads and black plectrums!
Influences-Alan’s biggest influence was Declan initially. Alan wanted to be cool like Declan so he copied everything he did. Unfortunately by the time he had gotten the hang of it Declan was no longer cool. Alan contented himself with remaining uncool but started playing bass to compensate for the psychological damage Declan had done. Influential bass players include Noel Redding, John Paul Jones, Paul Simonon, Mike Dirnt and Bruce Foxton.
Colin.
Colin-(Tiny Johnson) Colin hates hard work and getting up early in the morning. That’s why he plays drums. However he makes up for these character flaws by playing them very well. He does occasionally admit to having a penchant for hair related products and more recently moisturising cream. He’s been playing drums nearly nine years although he’s been beating his own skin for much longer. Being the engine of the band, Colin likes to make sure he’s well oiled before each show to ensure optimum performance.
Hobbies-Drinking, masturbation, playing the bongos, meeting new people(preferably young energetic girls who appreciate a man with a steady rhythm).
